Architecture
Anycast.com Agents uses a two-layer design: anycast bootstrap for fast discovery, and unicast PoP relays for stable sessions.
High-level flow
- 1
Agents call acme.agents.anycast.com for discovery
- 2
Anycast routes to nearest edge PoP
- 3
Rendezvous allocates a session and returns relay options
- 4
Direct P2P is attempted when possible
- 5
Relay is used only when necessary
- 6
Agents can re-bootstrap quickly on network changes
Design principles
- Anycast improves time-to-connect globally
- Distributed rendezvous reduces dependency on a single bootstrap node
- Relays are fallback connectivity, not a trust anchor
- Stable unicast relay sessions improve reliability
- Tenant isolation and abuse controls support real production use
