Anycast.com Agents uses a two-layer design: anycast bootstrap for fast discovery, and unicast PoP relays for stable sessions.

High-level flow

    Agents call acme.agents.anycast.com for discovery

  2. 2

    Anycast routes to nearest edge PoP

  3. 3

    Rendezvous allocates a session and returns relay options

  4. 4

    Direct P2P is attempted when possible

  5. 5

    Relay is used only when necessary

  6. 6

    Agents can re-bootstrap quickly on network changes

Design principles

  • Anycast improves time-to-connect globally
  • Distributed rendezvous reduces dependency on a single bootstrap node
  • Relays are fallback connectivity, not a trust anchor
  • Stable unicast relay sessions improve reliability
  • Tenant isolation and abuse controls support real production use
